RC Car Reviews

Building a new RC Car? We have the ultimate tool to help you out!

Hudy who produce high quality RC products have released RC Car Stands, the RC Car Reviews crew have already thrown out our home made wooden numbers and replaced them with these bad boys.

They have introduced two sizes to keep all RC Car fans happy. All stands come with four rubber feet on the bottom to stop the stand from slipping around during those testing moments of construction and holes to keep your shocks in order while you give them some tender love and care, or a re-build. Each hole is marked with a position (FL, FR, RL, RR) so you know what shock goes back on where and keeps your ride tracking straight.

The 1/10 th size is built for scale touring cars, electric and nitro and has two foam strips for your touring car to rest on so you don’t damage that fine paint job you worked so hard on.

The 1/8 th size is built to suit buggies and truggies to keep all you guys and girls happy.

Check out the Hudy site here for more info and pics.

RC Car Reviews – Nitro or Electric

RC Car Reviews – Nitro or Electric?

RC Car Reviews would like to help out the newcomers to the RC world by answering the question what is the difference between nitro and electric RC cars and which one should you get. This is a question that we have asked ourselves many times here at RC Car Reviews when considering buying another RC car.

Let’s look at it in the raw basics, just how we like it!

  • Nitro RC Car

Pros

  1. They can go faster, much FASTER!
  2. Most of the time a tank of fuel last longer than electric versions
  3. They are easy to re-fuel and be back on the track, in the dirt or following the hot girl down the street

Cons

  1. Require more maintenance and general cleaning
  2. More expensive to get into
  3. You could possibly get a speeding ticket if you test out on your street
  4. More expensive to keep running with replacement parts
  5. Noisy little machines so you could upset the neighbors
  • Electric RC Car

Pros

  1. Cheap way to get into the sport to see if you like it
  2. Have low running costs
  3. They are not that loud so you can run them up and down the streets without pissing your neighbors off at 4 in the morning. Hey when you have no other place to set up a drift race you have to do what you have to do! Don’t you judge us!
  4. You will not be doing jobs around the house for your parents to pay off your new toy for as long as a nitro car, or thanking your wife for as long for letting you buy an overpriced toy!
  5. You can race them around inside the house without fuel fumes stinking out the house.

Cons

  1. They don’t go as fast
  2. They run out of charge quickly so you need to wait to re-charge your battery or have multiple batteries.
  3. All the cool guys have nitros, just kidding, we don’t have a nitro! Hmmmm maybe we aren’t cool after all.

So there it is, buy a nitro cause you will love the sport and upset the neighbors as much as you can so they buy one as well!

RC Drifting Japan Style

RC Car Reviews thought we would let the rest of the world know about how the Japanese do it when it come to rc car drifting!

We have to say that it is amazing the amount of detail and organization that goes into a weekend meet and how fanatical the Japanese are at RC drifting. We have been lucky to be at some meetings in Japan in the past as the RC Car Reviews crew live in Japan for several months of the year and it is not for our RC Car skills! Work always gets in the way!

The Future Of RC Cars

RC Car reviews openly admits that there are certain tasks around the house that nobody likes doing! After all it takes time away from playing with your collection of RC cars!

That leads us to our next situation; most RC fans have been verbally hounded either by wives or by mums to stop playing with your RC toys, they will always ask you to stop wasting time playing with your RC car, or refuse to buy little Johnny his first rc car. Poor little Johnny!

And yes I said, it is always mums! Most of the time Dads are supportive or watching from around the corner, bedroom window or garage as they want to play as well, but are afraid of being judged by the adult population!

So now RC Car Reviews fans we bring you a solution to their hounding! The future of RC Car arguments is here – please read.

This is a guarantee for the skeptics to see the positive side of RC Cars and all that is RC, the next questions is what can an RC helicopter accomplish around the house? If you have more solutions please let us know at RC Car Reviews.

$10000 To Drive Your Rc Car

RC Car Reviews has found this interesting article about a fellow RC Car addict, and we are happy we did!

Ray Batista paid US $10,000 to repave a loop of a defunct race track in Midland Beach Turtle Fountain. RC Car Reviews bows done at your dedication to the sport of RC cars, we are glad you are part of the community.

Mr Batista or as we will now call him from this day on, Sir Batista is the founder of Staten Island Remote Control (SIRC) Legion and a lover of RC hot rods and drifting.

RC Car Reviews

Those of us that have a little kid stuck in side of us that are addicted to radio controlled (RC) cars, RC car reviews will bring you all the news, product reviews and ultra cool stuff for your rc car(s)! ; )

It’s OK, we will not tell your wife that there is more than one in the garage.

This is the birth place for RC aficionados to gather, read, discuss and learn all that your non RC buddies just don’t understand. When will they learn that an RC car lets you live the glory days of childhood and shed all your adult responsibilities, or pimp out your dream ride with all the latest wheels, paint jobs, body kits, engines and whatever else you have ever wanted on your own pride and joy – even if it is only for just a few hours on the weekend.

Today RC cars are a thing of beauty that have been finely crafted by their owners for show stopping appearances or tricked up to be able to reach speeds that would be illegal on most public roads!

Is reaching 100km/h in just over two seconds really that fast? Damn right it is!

The thrill can only be explained as being in control of a F1 race car! But the great thing is that everyone can enjoy the rush every weekend down at your local RC car tracks, homemade rally circuits or sneaking into parking lots in the middle of the night to face off in a drift race – yes, we are out there somewhere!
It has just gone 1pm so it is time for me to get out to my local drift meet.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the RC car world and you should be, do yourself a favor and save a lot of time now and in the future and pick yourself up a copy of the RC Bible; it is full of RC car reviews on both electric and fuel remote-control vehicles.

It covers tips on selecting the right scale and tending to the power source to tuning the chassis and choosing gear ratios, tires and all the angles that go into R/C driving.

You will also be a Yoda on nitro power, painting and decals, off-road driving techniques, setting up road-race courses in parking lots, and even building off-road courses.

I think that it is an absolute must have for someone who really wants to get into RC cars and a sweet reference for all the veterans who want a new toy and need a RC car reviews to point them in the right direction.
