RC Car Reviews – Nitro or Electric?
RC Car Reviews would like to help out the newcomers to the RC world by answering the question what is the difference between nitro and electric RC cars and which one should you get. This is a question that we have asked ourselves many times here at RC Car Reviews when considering buying another RC car.
Let’s look at it in the raw basics, just how we like it!
- Nitro RC Car
Pros
- They can go faster, much FASTER!
- Most of the time a tank of fuel last longer than electric versions
- They are easy to re-fuel and be back on the track, in the dirt or following the hot girl down the street
Cons
- Require more maintenance and general cleaning
- More expensive to get into
- You could possibly get a speeding ticket if you test out on your street
- More expensive to keep running with replacement parts
- Noisy little machines so you could upset the neighbors
- Electric RC Car
Pros
- Cheap way to get into the sport to see if you like it
- Have low running costs
- They are not that loud so you can run them up and down the streets without pissing your neighbors off at 4 in the morning. Hey when you have no other place to set up a drift race you have to do what you have to do! Don’t you judge us!
- You will not be doing jobs around the house for your parents to pay off your new toy for as long as a nitro car, or thanking your wife for as long for letting you buy an overpriced toy!
- You can race them around inside the house without fuel fumes stinking out the house.
Cons
- They don’t go as fast
- They run out of charge quickly so you need to wait to re-charge your battery or have multiple batteries.
- All the cool guys have nitros, just kidding, we don’t have a nitro! Hmmmm maybe we aren’t cool after all.
So there it is, buy a nitro cause you will love the sport and upset the neighbors as much as you can so they buy one as well!
