Hey Cardude, thanks for dropping in. Your best option would be to search ebay for 2nd hand upgrade parts or save your pennies for a while and go the lipo and brushless upgrade!
I just got the traxxase slash and it isn’t water proof the reciever is broken can u send me a new one for free if I send u mine
Hi Teddy,
Sounds like you should be contacting the place you purchased it from or Traxxas about your Slash! As we are not affiliated with Traxxas in anyway unfortunately we can not send you one on their behalf, and you wouldn’t want my one anyway! It has had the crap beaten out of it, but to its credit it is still rolling, I just need to give it some love!
i bought one a while ago and i love it. the only cons are that its real back heavy so when you go off big jumps it tends to land on the back where the engine is.
Hey Brandon, thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment! Are you keeping the throttle open/on while the Slash is in the air? If you are, try backing off while in the air, it can help to flatten it out and get all four wheels back on the ground at the same time, then hit the gas!
hey i was wondering what shocks i should go to because one of the caps on my stock ones comes off a lot so instead of just buying new caps i figure i’ll buy new ones.
A popular option seems to be using stock shocks from an e-maxx (red).
Hi, i have a traxxas slash and i keep burning up motors. I was wondering if there is a way to not burn them up so fast, or if there was an easier way to get new ones other than sending them into traxxas.
Hey Jake,
I take it you are using the stock motor if you are able to send it back to Traxxas, to get a new one that is the best way to go if they are replacing them for free for you!
If your usage habits are normal, eg, not running it flat out on full throttle 100% of the time, you may have an issue somewhere with the electronics. What battery & ESC combination are you using?
I’m new to the website/forum and to the Slash, just bought one from my nephew. Hey Jake, on the burning up of the motors-are you using stock gearing? Don’t want to damage my new toy just yet! Appreciate your feedback.
hey guys my dad bought me a slash for my b-day and i burned up my stock motor so he bought me a brushless edition. I just wanted to know how fast my truck would go if
I have a 7cell hump and the motor is 4600kv if you have any feed back please tell me thankyou have a good day
I have had this truck for over a year now and i love it!!!!!!!!!!!! this truck is a truck you can use daily and it never breaks. I did have to buy 5 motors for it in the last year, the stock motors do not last long. I would give it a 5 star rating. I have put this truck though a ;lot of jumps that were over 5 feet high and it drives away with zero problems. This is the truck to buy!!!!
How much would it cost to convert a 2wd slash to a 4wd slash ? And why make a 2wd that can’t be converted to 4wd ??
Hello, I have a neighbor who is all into rc cars. So after watching him run his lineup of around 10 different models of various brands, and after driving some, he talked me into getting one of my own. So we looked and talked about them and looked some more. It wasbetween one of the newer models traxxas has to offer. So I got the 2wd slash. I thought about getting the 4wd, but didn’t because of the price. But as of late, I have dumped more money into the one I have, than the price of the 4wd. I have the velineon brushless and esc in it. More batteries, another body. Parts that I have broken. I am happy with this setup, but I want to go faster. I’m going lipo soon. So what is the biggest lipo I can run? Did I make a good buy in getting the 2wd? Basically I want to pull wheelies and top out at like 60 or 8p mph.
